Mountaineering Tour to Monte Cevedale
Guided Glacier Ascent to One of the Highest Peaks of the Eastern Alps
Monte Cevedale (3,769 m) is one of the most famous and popular summits of the Ortler–Cevedale Group. With its vast snowfields, impressive glacier passages, and outstanding summit panorama, it is considered one of South Tyrol’s classic high alpine mountaineering tours. The ascent offers an intense high-altitude alpine experience and leads through a spectacular glacial landscape that reflects the unique character of this region.
This guided mountaineering tour starts in Sulden. Together we take the cable car to the mountain station and from there reach the Schaubach Hut (Rifugio Città di Milano) in a short time, which serves as the ideal base for the ascent.
The route leads over the Suldenferner past the Rifugio Casati onto the Zufallferner, from where the summit is reached via a steep summit slope. The high-alpine tour to Cevedale is not technically very demanding, but it requires confident movement in high-alpine terrain as well as a good basic level of fitness. This makes the tour well suited to motivated beginners in alpine mountaineering.
During the ascent, breathtaking views open up over surrounding glaciers, the Ortler, the Königsspitze, and numerous other 3,000-meter peaks of the region. The summit rewards climbers with an overwhelming 360-degree panorama across the Ortler Alps and far into the Central Alps — a true highlight of the mountaineering season.
You will be accompanied on this guided ascent of Monte Cevedale by a certified mountain guide from South Tyrol, ensuring safety on the glacier, optimal route selection, and a thoroughly professional mountain experience.
