The Demetz Route on the South-East Ridge of the Grande Cirspitze, first climbed in 1936, is a true Dolomite classic. This route offers 9 pitches of enjoyable and varied climbing on solid rock, always accompanied by breathtaking views of the Sella Massif across the valley. Most of the difficulties are in the UIAA IV grade, with one short crux in the V grade, adding a touch of spice to the climb.
The descent follows the normal route, partly along a via ferrata, which makes for a straightforward and safe way back.
