Panorama Tent Camp on the Villanderer Alm

Experience the Villanderer Alm from its most beautiful side – up close, authentic, and surrounded by the stunning mountains of South Tyrol!

Our Panorama Tent Camp at Seebergsee on the Villanderer Hochalm offers three days and two nights full of nature, activity, and unforgettable moments. Surrounded by vast alpine meadows and with breathtaking views of South Tyrol’s peaks, participants enjoy the days in the mountains.

During leisurely hikes, we explore the fascinating landscapes around Seebergsee. A highlight of the camp is the hike over the Totenkirchl, a mystical high-altitude pilgrimage site, continuing to Totensee, and finally up to the Villanderer Berg (2,509 m). Along the way, participants are rewarded with spectacular panoramas, peaceful mountain moments, and the special sense of freedom that only a night under the starry sky can provide.

Program:

Day 1

Arrival and Camp Setup

The plateau below the Seeberg is the destination for the first day. The hike starts at the Gasser Hut at the foot of the Villanderer Alm, ascending via the alpine meadows to the Totenkirchl (2,186 m). From here, hikers are rewarded with breathtaking views of the Schwarzsee and Seebergsee.

We then descend into the picturesque lake area, where we set up our tent camp for the next two nights. The evening is spent relaxing, enjoying the peaceful surroundings and the spectacular mountain panorama.

The ascent covers approximately 570 vertical meters.

Day 2

Villanderer Berg and Totensee

On the second day, we hike back to the Totenkirchl and continue to the Totensee. The trail leads along the hillside above the lake and follows the mountain ridge up to the Villanderer Berg, our summit goal for the day.

From the top, participants are rewarded with a unique 360° panoramic view of the South Tyrolean mountains. We then descend along the same route back to our tent camp, where we spend our second night immersed in the tranquil alpine surroundings.

Day 3

Camp Breakdown and Return

The final day begins with the breakdown of the tents. Afterwards, we hike leisurely over the alpine meadows and past the Stöffl Hut back down to the Gasser Hut, the starting point of the camp.

This concludes an unforgettable three-day adventure, filled with hiking, nature experiences, and breathtaking views across the Villanderer Alm and the surrounding Dolomites.
