Ski Mountaineering Week Valle Aurina

Ski Touring in the Ahrntal

Winter Delight in South Tyrol – Guided Ski Tours in Untouched Mountain Landscapes

Experience a guided ski touring week in the Ahrntal in South Tyrol and discover the serene winter landscape of one of the most unspoiled Alpine valleys. Deeply carved into the main Alpine chain, the valley offers snow-rich winters, expansive slopes, quiet side valleys, and impressive peaks.

Thanks to fresh snow supplied by the Genoa low-pressure system and northern weather fronts, the Ahrntal is particularly snow-sure. Along its roughly 50-kilometer length, ski tourers find countless route options – from challenging three-thousand-meter peaks near the valley head to shorter powder tours in Weißenbach.

Our base for the ski touring week is the cozy Hotel Mair in Kematen. This traditional hotel is ideally located for ski tours throughout the Ahrntal and impresses with warm hospitality, regional cuisine, and a relaxed atmosphere. After the tours, it provides the perfect setting to unwind and enjoy a pleasant end to the day.

Accompanied by an experienced mountain and ski guide, this ski touring week in the Ahrntal becomes a safe and immersive mountain experience. With expert knowledge of the area, the most rewarding ascents and descents are chosen – for enjoyable ski tours, fantastic powder, and authentic alpine moments in South Tyrol.
