Ski Touring Week in the Passeier Valley

Ski Touring Week in the Passeier Valley

Endless Powder Dreams in the South Tyrolean Alps

The Passeier Valley is one of the most snow-reliable regions in South Tyrol and offers ideal conditions for a varied ski touring week. Nestled between the Stubai Alps and the Ötztal Alps, you can expect perfect slopes, untouched snowfields, and countless touring options – from enjoyable ascents to more challenging alpine routes.

During the week, we explore two impressive areas of the Passeier Valley. The first stage takes us to Stuls, located on a sunny terrace and an ideal starting point for various tours. From the Pension Widmann, we set out on diverse ski tours in the Ötztal Alps and enjoy the stunning mountain scenery.

Possible tour destinations in the Ötztal Alps:

  • Glaitnerhochjoch (2,389 m)
  • Ehrensee (2,300 m)
  • Spronserjoch (2,581 m)
  • Alpenspitze (2,477 m)

In the second stage, we move to the Timmelsjoch area near the Austrian border, offering numerous tours with powder snow on north-facing slopes and perfect spring conditions on sunny aspects. After the ski tours, we relax at the Gasthof Schönau, enjoy regional cuisine, and recharge in the wellness area.

The excellent location of our accommodation allows us to explore tours in two different side valleys.

Possible tour destinations from Timmelsbrücke:

  • Timmelsjoch (2,474 m)
  • Heachnberg (2,631 m)
  • Schwarzseespitze (2,988 m)
  • Gürtelspitze (2,743 m)

Tour destinations from Schneebergerbrücke:

  • Schneeberghütte – Kaindljoch (2,700 m)
  • Zermaidjoch (2,619 m)
  • Hohe Kreuzspitze (2,743 m)

As a bad weather alternative, shorter tours or cultural highlights such as a visit to South Tyrol’s first brewery hotel are available – the perfect combination of activity, enjoyment, and relaxation.

After rewarding ski touring days, we end the evenings in a cozy atmosphere with regional cuisine and a good glass of wine.
