Ski touring trip to the volcanic mountains of Central Anatolia, crossing the Taurus Mountains from south to east.

Experience a ski mountaineering trip with authentic Turkish hospitality and explore the reliably snow-covered mountains in the south of the country on rewarding ski tours. The varied mix of everyday life typical of the country, magnificent nature and exciting routes make this trip a unique experience.

The next ski mountaineering trip to Turkey will take place in 2024.

 

Program:

Day 1:

 

Flight from Munich or Venice via Istabul to Kayseri and transfer to Ihlara. By bus to the foot of Mt Hasan (3253m)

 

Day 2:

Mt. Hasan (3253m)

Ascent of Mt Hasan, then drive to Demirkazik and overnight stay in the village.

Day 3-7:

 

Depending on the conditions and weather, the following mountains are on the programme for these days:

Mt Embler 3723m, Avciveli pass 3250m, Mt Erciyes Summit (3916m), and other nameless rewarding peaks where we have found the best ski touring terrain in recent years.

 

 

Day 8:

 

Sightseeing, Göreme, Ihlara Valley

 

Day 9:

 

Journey back home

Details Ski mountaineering in Turkey

Difficulty
RequirementsSafe skiing technique in deep snow, use of crampons and ice axe. Stamina for long ascents, depending on the snow conditions, ski tours of up to 1800 metres are undertaken.
