Guided Climbing Tour: Southeast Ridge of the Kleine Fermeda (2814 m)
Challenging Ridge Climb in the Geisler Group
The Southeast Ridge of the Kleine Fermeda is a remarkable and long summit tour in the Dolomites. Located at the western end of the Geisler peaks, the Kleine Fermeda forms the striking conclusion of this impressive mountain chain. Even on the approach, the spectacular surroundings captivate – and once on the rock, beautiful climbing passages along edges and beneath striking roofs await.
While the lower section is still characterized by broken terrain, the route reveals its true alpine character from the fourth pitch onwards: varied, technically demanding climbing in the IV UIAA grade, requiring full concentration and solid experience. With around 12 rope lengths, this climb offers a full day’s adventure that will challenge and inspire fit alpinists.
Excellent rock quality, the imposing backdrop of the west face of the Große Fermeda, and breathtaking views of Langkofel, Sella, and Rosengarten make the Southeast Ridge one of the most rewarding classic Dolomite routes. With a certified mountain guide at your side, this alpine experience becomes safe, unforgettable, and truly unique.
