Even on the approach, the spectacular surroundings captivate – and once on the rock, beautiful climbing passages along edges and beneath striking roofs await.

The route leads over about 12 varied pitches at grade IV, offering a fine mix of alpine atmosphere and enjoyable climbing. It is an ideal full-day adventure for sure-footed climbers with good fitness and a passion for rock.

Excellent rock quality, the imposing backdrop of the west face of the Große Fermeda, and breathtaking views of Langkofel, Sella, and Rosengarten make the Southeast Ridge one of the most rewarding classic Dolomite routes.
