Via Ferrata at the Stuller Waterfall in Passeier Valley

Experience an impressive climbing route right next to one of Italy’s highest waterfalls

The Stuller Waterfall Via Ferrata near Moos in the Passeier Valley is a spectacular via ferrata in South Tyrol, leading along a steep rock face in close proximity to the roaring Stuller Waterfall – a roughly 342-meter double cascade and the third-highest waterfall in Italy.

From the starting point in Moos, a well-marked approach through forest and mountain trails takes about 30 minutes to reach the start of the via ferrata.

The route itself is technically varied and divided into several sections. The classic normal path is mainly in the intermediate difficulty range (B/C) with D sections. There are also very challenging E and E/F variants for experienced via ferrata climbers, featuring steep, sometimes overhanging sections that require significant upper body strength and expertise.

During the climb, you will enjoy stunning views of the rock walls of the Stubai Alps and the rugged Passeier Valley landscape. Particularly impressive is the direct view of the waterfall, cascading in multiple tiers through the gorge, creating a breathtaking backdrop for the via ferrata.

At the end of the route, we reach sunny meadows and can either descend directly back to Moos via marked trails or head to the nearby village of Stuls for a refreshing drink or ice cream before returning to Moos.
